Summary: Ianto is trying to convince Jack to move. A double drabble.
‘What’s this?’ Jack asked as Ianto slipped a glossy brochure of a fancy office block under his nose.
‘Just an architect’s rendering of what might be possible now that the city council has approved as the new official maximum construction height. Impressive, isn’t it?’
Jack frowned at the shiny eight by twelve. ‘I’m supposed to care about this, why?’
‘I just thought maybe we might consider buying the block. Modernise Torchwood for the next century and a half with some more modern facilities.’
‘Don't you think that it's a little conspicuous for a secret organisation to be so… visible?’
Ianto shrugged. ‘Worked for Torchwood One.’
Jack snorted. ‘Yeah, and didn’t that pan out well?’
Ianto gave a huff. ‘I’m just suggesting that it might be easier to know what was happening in the city if we were high up and could actually just look out the windows and see it. Better than being stuck underground in a dank old place like this.’
‘I think the old place still has its charms,’ Jack argued.
‘If by charms you mean it has somewhere dirty that you and I can place prisoner and guard, then I'm sure I can arrange a suitable equivalent.’
