‘You haven’t touched your coffee,’ Tosh observed, entering Jack’s office to give him an update on her research.
Jack looked glumly down at the blue and white striped mug. ‘It's decaf.’
‘Oh,’ Tosh replied, immediately understanding why the brew had been abandoned to go cold. ‘What did you do this time?’ There was always a reason why Ianto felt the need to punish Jack with decaf. ‘Is it because you died?’
Jack nodded. ‘Apparently I never stop and think.’ He sighed. ‘He’s probably right, you know.’
Tosh gave him a sympathetic look. ‘It just hurts him to watch you suffer.’
