Title: Cool under pressure
'I still don't get it,' Jack said as the four of them wandered leisurely down the street, mingling with the rest of the exiting crowd.
'It's tennis,' Gwen replied. 'There's not that much to get. You said the same thing about the rugby,' she reminded him.
'And the football,' Ianto added.
Jack shrugged off his two team mates. 'Sport just isn't my thing. But,' he added, before either of them could add anything else disparaging, 'it's a beautiful day and not a trouble in sight. And look, there's a shop just ahead selling ice-cream.'
'My treat,' Gwen said, before Jack put his hand up to pay.
'I'll fetch us a table,' Rhys offered. 'Rum and raisin, love,' he called to Gwen, 'and don't even think about taking a lick beforehand.'
Gwen turned to her team mates. 'Jack?'
'Boysenberry swirl,' he replied. 'Ianto, are you joining us for an icy treat or moping into your mediocre cappuccino?'
Ianto tensed at the question. Ice-cream always made his head hurt, but they'd had such a nice day so far and Jack had already assumed he'd spoil it by not partaking, making excuses.
'Chocolate chip,' he replied, forcing himself not to ruin their day.
