Character: Owen

Author: m_findlow
Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Summary: Owen can see straight through Tosh's attempts at kindness. A double drabble.
Owen was annoyed at Tosh. She was so completely oblivious sometimes, but now it was beginning to grate on his nerves. Did she really think she could just turn up at his place with pizza and beer, complaining about Jack, and just think everything was normal? Nothing was ever going to be normal again. He was dead and nothing was going to change that.
Of course, he knew the real reason why she was here, and it had nothing to do with Jack having issued any orders about doing a welfare check on him. This was all Tosh. Bloody stupid, oblivious Tosh.
She’d had a crush on him forever and no matter how much he’d tried to put her off and indicate that he wasn’t interested, she still pined. Now she thought that he’d fall into her arms, no longer able to pick up normal women. Was this the moment she’d been hoping for, when all of the competition was suddenly eliminated, to pounce on him? Christ. He didn’t want anymore right now and he certainly didn’t want Tosh.
There was no point trying to be nice about it and to let her down gently. He’d just tell her no.
