Summary: Jack knows what he needs when travelling. A double drabble.
‘Have you finished packing?’ Ianto asked, rolling a suitcase to a halt. They weren't flying out until tomorrow evening but Ianto, fastidious as always, was ready.
‘Yup,’ Jack said, kicking the side of a duffel bag with his boot. ‘Got everything I need.’
Ianto narrowed his eyes at the duffel before bending down and unzipping it to check the contents. ‘Jack, these are all work clothes,’ he said, tugging out a series of pale blue shirts and grey trousers.
Jack’s forehead creased. ‘So?’
‘I know you like to look all heroic and dashing…’
‘I'm sensing a “but” coming.’
‘But you can't go holidaying dressed like that. We're supposed to be relaxing and enjoying ourselves. It's Spain and it'll be hot.’
‘So, I won't wear my coat all of the time.’
‘Jack…’
‘Ianto, I don't do shorts. I don't even own shorts.’
‘But you're perfectly happy wandering around in no clothes whatsoever.’ Jack just shrugged.
Ianto sighed and checked his watch. ‘The department stores don't close until nine tonight. I suppose that's enough time for me to buy you some proper clothes to pack.’
‘Can I come along? Make sure everything fits right?’
‘No. They're open late, not all bloody night.’
