Summary: Ianto isn't going to waste a single opportunity. A double drabble.
Jack pulled Ianto close as they embraced on the dancefloor. Jack had known Gwen's wedding would be special, but he hadn't expected this little bonus. Who knew Ianto was a dancer, let alone brave enough to do it in public – even if pretty much everyone would forget by tomorrow. It made him realise that sometimes tomorrow didn't always come for the people Jack loved. Only he could always be assured that it would inevitably roll around, with or without someone to hold him close.
‘Don't waste your life on me, Ianto Jones.’
Ianto snorted and it felt even louder than usual, having his ear that close to Ianto's lips. ‘As if you think you get a say in the matter,’ he replied. ‘I didn't see you cutting in to sweep me away, so I took matters into my own hands. Plus, Gwen's married now. You want to be careful. Rhys knows how to use a chainsaw.’
Jack laughed. ‘True. Just a shame it ran out of petrol.’
‘Lucky you were there with your massive gun,’ Ianto teased. ‘Gets me all excited every time.’
Jack knew he wasn't worth it, but perhaps he was the one who shouldn't be wasting life.
