Summary: Ianto should know better than to ask for Jack's advice. A double drabble.
Ianto sighed as he clutched the series of coat-hangers. ‘I know I'm going to regret asking, but what do you think?’ he said, turning to Jack who was undoubtedly bored at being in a clothing store, let alone a bespoke one. Jack was the kind of guy who was happy buying his shirts in packs of three from Primark. Admittedly, he did go through an awful lot of them. Ianto had gotten better at fieldwork over the years. He probably only destroyed one shirt a month on average these days.
‘Hmm?’
‘I said, what do you think? The pink one, only I've already got a pink one, but more just as a spare, the red, always a staple choice, or the apricot, just to try something totally different.’
‘I think you should buy all three,’ Jack said, and these to match he added, surprising Ianto by offering up three excellently matched silk ties.
‘Isn't that a complete waste of money? I don't need that many shirts. Or ties.’
‘Looking good every day is never a waste, Ianto Jones. You can afford it.’
That much was true, though he suspected the looking good part benefited Jack more than it did him.
