Summary: Some assignments are trickier than others. A double drabble.
‘What the hell happened to you two?’ Jack asked, watching Gwen and Owen stagger into the hub looking like they'd been through a tornado filled with knives.
‘Stupid thing resisted capture, didn't it,’ Owen snarled, stripping off his denim jacket and tossing it straight in the bin. ‘You might have mentioned it came armed with massive claws. We chased it for ten blocks before we finally thought we had it cornered, then it went into full arse kicking mode.’
‘That would be why I gave you tranquiliser darts.’ Honestly, didn't people ever listen to him? It was never going to be a walk in the park but he'd given them enough information to be wary and equipped to capture it. He'd have gone himself but for Ianto's insistence that he couldn't reschedule his call with the Prime Minister – for the fourth time in a row.
‘Before you ask,’ Gwen interjected, ‘yes, we did manage to eventually get it. It's down in the cells making friends with its new cell mates.’
‘Sometimes I think you hate us,’ Owen seethed, rummaging for boxes of sticking plasters and bandages.
Jack smirked. ‘If I hated you, I wouldn't send you out there with guns.’
