Length: 200 words
Summary: Torchwood's entertainment bill is a whopper. A double drabble.
‘Oh…’ Ianto murmured as he opened the mail over his and Jack's morning coffee.
‘What's “oh”?’
‘Your credit card statement. And the cost of Torchwood's inaugural Christmas party.’
‘How much?’
‘I think it's best I don't say.’
‘Come on, Ianto. It can't be that bad.’
He handed the statement across the desk. ‘How much?’ Jack cried, sure Ianto had pointed to that wrong figure on the credit card statement.
‘That's what I feared so I rang the bar and asked them about it. Up to a certain point in the night I could've kept a mental tally by person but after we were all drunk under the table you apparently kept going. I think it's safe to say you account for a large part of that bill.’
Jack growled. ‘I was barely hungover.’
‘Which is more than can be said for the rest of us. I think I'm sworn off whisky sodas for life.’
‘Only because you stopped drinking them with soda,’ Jack clarified.
‘That would probably account for it, yes,’ he agreed. ‘I blame you.’
‘I didn't exactly twist your arm.’
Ianto sighed. ‘I'm just going to pay it. We've done enough damage without adding to our credit score.’
