Summary: The water tower has people thinking they're seeing things. A double drabble.
'You're pished,' Leon told his boyfriend, though the words came out more slurred than he liked to admit. They were both pished, truth be told.
'I swear,' Martin replied, still tugging on Leon's arm, partly for balance and partly to drag him across the Plass. 'They were over there, making out and kissing and everything,' he insisted, pointing towards the water tower as it gleamed in the moonlight.
Not a bad spot for a bit of romance, Leon thought, but they'd both had so much to drink that the safest course of action was to just flag down a taxi and go home. They could share hungover snuggles tomorrow.
'There's no one there now,' Leon told him, focusing on the whole Plass. Just them, wandering drunken and headed in the opposite direction to Bute Street where said taxis would lurk.
'There!' Martin squealed. 'But, no, it's gone again.' He dragged Leon over and stared. 'There was a bloke in a suit and one in some big coat. Just for a second.'
'Optical illusion,' Leon told him. 'Probably just our own reflections blurred by the falling water. C'mon. Let's go home.'
'But, but…'
'That was close,' Jack whispered, pulling Ianto tight.
