Summary: Ianto wants to make sure they have everything before they go anywhere. A triple drabble.
Ianto set his hands on his hips as he stared at the holdall sitting in the back seat of the car, as if picturing the contents. Then he frowned and leaned over it, unzipping it to see the contents in real life, which was much easier.
'Shoes, socks, underwear, t-shirts, spare hoodie…' He pawed deeper into the bag, reassuring himself that yes, down underneath the clothes was a flannel, toothbrushes and toothpaste. There would probably be soap and shampoo where they were staying, but he had a small tube of shower gel in there as well, just in case.
He chewed his lip, feeling like he was missing something obvious but also sure he'd gone through his mental list three times.
'Let's hit the road!' Jack yelled out, bounding up from behind him.
'Have we got everything?' Ianto asked, even though he knew he was probably asking the wrong person. He turned and frowned at Jack's empty hands. Shouldn't there have been a second holdall?
Jack stepped up, invading his space so much that he backed up against the rear passenger seat and was forced into an awkward sideways sitting position. Jack grabbed his hips and leaned in to kiss him. 'I've got you,' Jack replied. 'So long as I've got that then we're packed and ready to go. I don't need anything else.'
Ianto rolled his eyes at Jack's embellished overtures. He was usually so aloof but the promise of a whole week away in Europe suddenly had him treating it like a honeymoon. 'As romantic as that is, you're going to need more than me. Clean underwear at an absolute minimum.'
'Maybe I'll borrow yours.'
'I'm not spending every night washing smalls in the bathroom sink just because you've packed light.'
'Ianto, you keep assuming we'll need clothes.'
