‘I thought you were supposed to be resting,’ Tosh said, giving Owen her best disappointed look. He’d taken a battering from a blowfish that had come off second best, but only after it had taken several bullets from Owen, Tosh and Jack to bring it down. That was the problem with them being high on cocaine.
Owen cringed and tried to hide the expression of pain. ‘I’ll live.’
‘Doctor’s orders, wasn’t it?’ Tosh asked, knowing that Jack had wanted to send Owen home but he wasn’t having any of it.
Owen rolled his eyes. ‘Doctors. What would they know, eh?’
