torchwood100Summary: Jack has one phobia worse than all others. A double drabble.
‘He’s not coming home with us,’ Jack said, loudly and predictably putting his foot down at Ianto’s proposal.
Ianto merely rolled his eyes, having anticipated this. ‘Colin is not going to eat you out of house and home,’ he said, referring to the furry black spider-mouse that had been a regular around the hub for close to three weeks now. ‘In fact, it’s not even your house, so not sure you get a say in the matter.’
‘They’re not pets, Ianto,’ Jack said, scowling at the furry eight-legged ball perched on Ianto’s shoulder. ‘They’re an intergalactic pestilence that can cripple a ship if left unchecked.’
‘You’re talking about them going at it like rabbits and spreading to the point where they become a plague. Colin is currently single, likes chocolate cupcakes and watching formula one. I don’t think we’re going to be finding him a life partner anytime soon. He can’t just stay at the hub all the time.’
‘Works for Myf,’ Jack sulked.
‘She’s a bit big to take home, though I daresay she wouldn’t oppose the extra attention. Can’t you just put your phobia aside for one little spider-mouse?’
Jack gritted his teeth. He hated Ianto’s emotional blackmail.
