Summary: The team ponder what has crash landed. A double drabble.
‘It could be a spaceship,’ Tosh said, trying to run her scanner over the dappled surface of the large object.
Owen barked out a laugh. ‘A spaceship? Come off it, Tosh. It doesn’t look anything like a spaceship.’
She scowled at him but didn’t let it deter her otherwise. ‘It could be cloaked to look like this, or maybe this is what it looks like after hundreds of years being out in the ravages of unexplored space.’
‘Well, if it is the Death Star, then the aliens inside must all be about an inch tall. Not sure we have to worry about them trying to take over our planet. A whacking with a shoe would sort them out.’
‘It might not be a spacecraft,’ Gwen conceded. ‘We might be looking at a giant fossil or something.’
‘Giant fossil makes more sense than a spaceship,’ Owen agreed.
‘Or a really big easter egg, missing its shiny foil, and about three thousand years past its sell by date,’ Ianto said, attempting to add levity to their assessment.
Jack came over, hearing their comments and gave the thing a kick at the base with his boot. ‘You’re all wrong. It’s just a rock.’
