Summary: Owen is having real trouble following directions. A double drabble.
‘I can't find it,’ Owen grumbled.
‘It's right in front of you,’ Ianto replied.
‘If it was, I'd be able to see it.’
Ianto sighed, tucking the phone between his shoulder and his ear, holding it in place as he battled the supermarket checkout and the ten bags he was trying to carry all at once. ‘I'm telling you, if you followed my directions then the box is right there.’ He could practically picture standing in the exact spot where Owen should be, looking right at it. ‘Section eight, row twelve, shelf six, three from the bottom.’
‘Where?’
If he'd had a spare hand he'd have pinched the bridge of his nose. ‘How about you just wait until I'm back?’
‘How about you explain to Jack why he can't have what he wants right now?’
Ianto sighed again. The same Jack who an hour ago had demanded chewy caramels and salt and vinegar crisps. Ah, the joys of alien pregnancy. ‘Well, if it can't wait, you'll just have to keep looking until you find it.’
‘And how am I supposed to do that?’ Owen snarked. ‘More likely to get lost and die down here.’
‘Don't worry, I'll find your body.’
