‘That was slightly awkward,’ Ianto said as the hothouse door closed back behind him. ‘You promised everyone had gone home for the day.’
Jack shrugged. ‘Can’t stop Gwen from trying to stick her nose where it doesn’t belong,’ came the reply, reminding Ianto that they both kept the secret that Gwen was trying to dredge up. ‘You always get more than you bargain for when you’re not careful.’
‘I think Gwen got more of your gentleman's package than she bargained for.’ They both paused, smirked and the tension fell away in an instant and they were laughing. Jack began doing impressions of Gwen saying “oh, god!” that had them both in waves of unstoppable giggles.
‘Not sure I like Gwen seeing you with your shirt off,’ Jack finally said when he got his giggles back under control.
Ianto toyed with the buttons, slowly undoing them again. ‘Don’t tell me you were embarrassed we got caught? What happened to that offer for her to join us in naked hide and seek?’
Jack took both edges of Ianto's freshly unbuttoned shirt and pulled it off. ‘Not embarrassed,’ he replied. ‘I just prefer not to share topless men if I don’t have to.’
