Summary: Some things are just plain amusing. A double drabble.
Jack rolled his eyes as he heard the sound of something like a penny whistle, followed by something that was distinctly fart-like. He pushed his chair away from the desk and leaned across so that he could look out his office doorway. ‘Have you quite finished with that thing?’ he asked.
If he expected Owen to look embarrassed or chastised, he would be sorely disappointed. ‘What? I like it,’ he replied, turning the round object upside down and rightside up again, making the same noise as before.
Jack groaned and went back to his reports just as fresh coffee arrived. ‘Any chance that thing is going to the archives sometime soon?’ he asked.
Ianto appeared nonplussed by the sound as it echoed from outside the doorway again, causing him to smirk but not quite devolve into a fit of giggles, though clearly he was restraining himself. ‘It is quite funny,’ he replied, ‘in a sort of terribly juvenile way.’
‘Who knew you’d all find alien fairground toys so amusing?’
‘Says the man who is the biggest kid around here,’ Ianto replied, setting down the mug. ‘If you can’t enjoy a quiet moment of farting noises, what are we fighting for?’
