Summary: Jack isn't going to let a little resistance deter him. A double drabble.
‘Looking sexy in that suit this morning, Ianto!’ Jack called out, not caring if anyone heard his catcalls, spying the young man making his way across the hub from his vantage point at the top of the gangway just outside the boardroom.
He knew Ianto had heard him, as had everyone else, but Jack’s newest recruit didn’t rise to the baiting. He simply kept moving, concentrating on the task at hand, whatever that might be.
‘Give it up, Jack!’ Suzie called out from her desk, pausing in her welding.
Jack sailed down the spiral staircase and came to linger at her workbench. ‘Give up what, Suzie Costello?’ he asked, as if he didn’t already know.
‘Your charms are never going to work on that one,’ she replied.
Jack clutched at his chest. ‘You wound me! My charms work on everybody.’
Suzie rolled her eyes at him. ‘Uh huh. Even straight-laced, goody two-shoes like that?’
Jack grinned. ‘Especially them.’
Suzie picked up her welding iron and flipped back down her face shield. ‘If you say so.’
‘Give me time, Suzie Costello, and I’ll prove it to you.’ Ianto Jones might be a hard nut to crack, but Jack never gave up.
