Summary: Jack isn't sure if Ianto is trying to torture him or not. A double drabble.
‘Interesting,’ Ianto mused after having made Jack wait an agonising thirty seconds whilst he paused to read the plaque under some crusty old painting. Jack considered there to be far more interesting things to look at inside the walls of Cardiff Castle, most of them not on the designated path for visitors. Anything worth seeing was hidden behind large coils of red rope held up on brass poles.
‘What?’ Jack asked, certain that whatever it was wasn't the least bit interesting, but it gave him an excuse to show he cared enough to ask.
‘I didn't know that about the Marquis of Bute.’
‘I thought you knew everything?’ He was sure Ianto was just saying it to get Jack to read it. He didn't mind admiring the antiquities but he drew a line at reading all the boring little plaques.
Ianto just shrugged. ‘No one can know everything.’
‘Just everything about Cardiff, then,’ Jack offered. Considering their respective life spans it was testament to Ianto how much more he knew than Jack.
‘Nope. Even locals are allowed to play tourist sometimes and learn new things.’ Ianto squeezed his hand. ‘Come on. I want to go and admire the main hall.’
