torchwood100Summary: Ianto isn't so keen on Jack's idea of fun. A double drabble.
Ianto gave Jack another disparaging frown. ‘This isn't what I signed up for.’
‘Nobody knows what they sign up for when they join Torchwood,’ Jack countered.
There was a petulant rolling of eyes. ‘They know it isn't this.’
‘Don't be such a stick in the mud,’ Jack told him. ‘They want to see the sights whilst Tosh is busy fixing their busted spaceship. What else are they going to do other than rattle around the hub getting under everyone's feet?’
Ianto frowned again. ‘They're the alien equivalent of grey nomads wanting a free guided tour of the city.’
‘And who better to be their guide than you?’ Jack said, trying to butter him up. ‘A first class tour of Cardiff with its most knowledgeable resident.’
‘Nice try,’ Ianto said, dismissing his flattery. ‘I do have real work to do, you know.’
‘Yep, and as your boss, this is the work I'm giving you. It'll be fun. I know how much you enjoy showing off what you know.’
Ianto huffed. ‘It's not showing off. It's called taking pride.’
‘So take your pride and swallow it for a few days whilst you show our guests why crashing here was an unexpected delight.’
