Summary: Jack isn't a fan of some kinds of heights. A double drabble.
‘A day off,’ Ianto remarked. ‘Finally!’
‘Better late than never,’ Jack replied. ‘But who knows, maybe there’s secretly aliens hiding out at Barry Island.’
Ianto grabbed his hand and tugged him towards the throng of people bustling around between carousels and candy floss and clown games. ‘I hope not. I plan on us just enjoying ourselves for once.’ Even if that meant putting up with Jack wanting to show off in the shooting gallery just to win Ianto the biggest teddy bear they had. Not that Ianto was worried. Jack was all talk and no substance when it came to his accuracy with firearms, no matter how much real world practice he had.
‘So, where should we start?’ Jack asked. ‘Dodgem cars or ice-cream?’ he asked, pointing to the thirty foot deep queue already snaking away from a lone ice-cream van. It wasn’t exactly warm, but in Wales, any time was the perfect time for ice-cream.
Ianto instead pointed upwards. ‘Let’s do that first,’ he said, indicating the large rollercoaster. Before they gorged themselves on junk food enough to make them throw up.
‘You’re kidding right? They’re total deathtraps!’
Ianto groaned. ‘And I thought you were a man of adventure!’
