Summary: Jack is struggling to admit he's not one hundred percent. A double drabble.
‘I’m fine,’ Jack said, trying to simultaneously swat away both Owen and Ianto. Once upon a time people had done what he told them, especially when he was sat behind his large desk.
‘Stop being so damn stubborn,’ Ianto chastised. ‘Just let Owen take a few blood samples.’
‘He already has some,’ Jack argued. ‘They sit in a fridge with my name on them.’
‘Fat lot of good DNA comparison samples are,’ Owen replied. ‘Not going to give me an analysis of your current bloodwork, are they?’
‘My bloodwork is fine.’ Jack forced the words through gritted teeth, a sheen of sweat beading on his forehead, slightly concealed under his fringe.
‘You were the one complaining that you felt a bit off this morning,’ Ianto argued. ‘If you’re crook, you should let Owen check you out. Make sure it’s nothing more serious than a head cold.’
‘I don't need either of you mollycoddling me!’ He pushed up from his desk, intent on giving them both sterner words when his head spun and he gripped the desk before his legs could give way. Both of them were there to catch him.
‘Not crook my arse,’ Owen muttered.
‘That’s what I said.’
