Summary: Sometimes it isn't the aliens that are the rare ones. A double drabble.
‘Just a few more pictures?’ the alien couple insisted, not waiting for agreement before continuing to loudly snap the polaroid camera which, they professed, was an antique they’d found at a market years ago and couldn't bear to part with despite much better technology.
Ianto tried for a smile as Jack’s hand carried on wrapping around his hip. At least he was trying. Owen was openly hostile, yet the alien tourists didn’t seem to mind his attitude one bit.
‘That’s great,’ the alien said, finally pulling the camera away from its face, shaking out the last picture excitedly as it developed and then handing it to its partner who cooed over it and added it to a large clutch already in its hand. ‘I can’t wait to sort these and put them in our album.’
‘Happy to oblige,’ Jack said, smiling and looking like he was enjoying the attention. Of course he was, Ianto thought. Only Jack would pose for two hundred photos, making sure that each and every one captured his best angles.
‘We’re just so thrilled to have landed here,’ the alien said. ‘Took a wrong turn somewhere, but we just love discovering rare primitive forms of life!’
