Summary: Owen's latest medical breakthrough is going to take some convincing. A double drabble.
Ianto held up the small spray bottle and peered judiciously at it. ‘Are you sure about this?’ he asked.
‘Wanna give it a go?’ Owen asked, looking like he was just itching for someone to suffer a papercut, or worse.
‘Not sure I want to use an untested healing spray.’
Owen huffed. ‘It’s not untested. The results on my lab rats were all excellent. The nanotechnology is working perfectly. And it’s got aloe vera.’
Ianto arched an eyebrow. ‘Aloe vera?’
‘Tosh’s suggestion. Made some of the cellular skin regeneration less painful.’
Ianto gave him a questioning look. ‘Is that what the lab rats told you? Should I tell the animal rights groups to revoke our blacklisting?’
Owen snatched back the bottle, looking peevish. ‘Laugh all you want but don’t come crying to me when you’ve got a three inch laceration from a weevil, begging for some of this as a quick fix. I’ll be glad to pour some good old fashioned antiseptic into the wound and stitch it up with a sharp needle.’
‘I’m not saying it won’t be handy to have if it works,’ Ianto insisted. ‘Just that it’ll take a bit more convincing. Try it on Jack first.’
