Summary: Gwen wouldn't trade her husband for all the extraordinary wonders of the universe. A double drabble.
Gwen lay in bed next to Rhys, her hand lying across his chest as he breathed deeply. It might have been three in the morning and she might have been exhausted, but not so tired that she couldn’t enjoy a few minutes of just lying here with the man she loved, wishing that she wouldn't have to be back at work in about three hours time.
Rhys tried from sleep and reached over to rest his hand on top of hers. ‘Hello, lovely. Decided you couldn't keep your hands off me, eh? That Captain Jack Harkness isn’t a patch on this fine Welsh specimen’.
Gwen smiled and leaned over to kiss him. ‘You’re the only one for me, Rhys Williams.’
Rhys rolled over, curling an arm around her waist. ‘You sure about that? I’m not too ordinary for you? Hard to compete with all the mad aliens and stuff, not to mention those two decent looking blokes you work with.’
Gwen snuggled closer until she was almost touching noses with her husband. ‘If I didn't want ordinary, I wouldn’t be here. You’re the one thing in this world I can count on, and that’s about as extraordinary as it gets.’
