Summary: Ianto has some red lines and someone just crossed one.

Occupational hazard, Ianto decided, unsure whether to be delighted by the fact that his boyhood dream of dragons being real had manifested itself, or whether dragons were, on the whole, a real pain in the arse to deal with.

He’d been about to give someone a mouthful as being unceremoniously shoved in the back, falling forward and hitting the ground hard, putting a large hole in the trousers of a suit that was, more or less, brand new. He hadn’t even broken it in far enough to catch Jack leering at him in it, let alone parrying dry-witted remarks at Jack’s endless supply of filthy double-entendres. What a sodding waste. Then he realised that the person who’d shoved him to the ground was Gwen, and that it had been the only thing preventing him from being set alight by a second dragon that had somehow, despite its enormous size, snuck up on him. A torn knee was better than incineration, he surmised.

He looked up just in time to see the first dragon about a hundred yards in front of him, deciding to join in the game of setting things on fire. It targeted Jack, and in one horrifying second, Ianto watched his lover disappear in a column of flame, leaving behind nothing but a charred corpse.

Ianto pushed himself to his feet, face stern, large gun gripped tightly. ‘Alright, now you’ve pissed me off. I don’t care if you’re on the bloody national flag. No one incinerates my boyfriend.’
