Summary: Ianto hopes his case files will make for interesting reading in the future. A double drabble.
Ianto smirked at the dry witted remark he'd just typed. Normally he liked to keep his reports official, sticking just to the facts, but occasionally the facts warranted license for more colourful assessments.
Whilst he knew they should all stay professional he had to admit that he found reading old reports much more enjoyable when he could really get a sense of the individual Torchwood operative that had written it. They were all human after all, flawed and wont to entertain their observations in sometimes terrifying, sometimes highly comical situations. His own report absolutely deserved a little light-hearted commentary.
He paused and reread the last few lines then wondered what would history think of him when some Torchwood agent of the future found his report and read it? Would they see the funny side they way he had, or would they wonder if he hadn't had a screw – or several – loose. Maybe it would even be Jack who read it, long after Ianto had become virtually forgotten.
He hoped Jack would smile and remember his wit. Even if no one else ever read it, it comforted him to know that something of him would remain for Jack to hold close.
