Summary: Ianto is still capable of surprising Jack A double drabble.
Ianto was forever surprising Jack, whether it was his skill with a firearm, his ability to make connections between isolated facts in a case or just his general local knowledge. Therefore he probably shouldn't have been surprised to have Ianto cut in on his dance with Gwen.
Jealous much? Jack thought, grinning as Ianto pressed in close, their hands finding each other as they began to sway to the music. He'd been sidestepping Jack's wedding talk all week, avoiding any topics that fell into the category of what they might get up to on the night.
Now, here they were, dominating the scenes on the dance floor. Champagne, Jack decided, was a very good tool for loosening one's inhibitions. He was certain that Ianto never would have been brave enough without those two glasses in him. Or maybe it was just that everyone here was about to be retconned and wouldn't ever remember it.
The song faded but Ianto hadn't yet let go. ‘What next?’ Jack asked. ‘A nice slow waltz? I know a DJ who'll play whatever we want.’
Ianto released his arm from around Jack, pulled back, slotting that professional frown back in place. ‘Don't push your luck.’
