Summary: Jack's taste in real estate isn't great. A double drabble.
Ianto was sitting on the sofa with a heavy blanket draped across his lap underneath his laptop, typing up the last of his report whilst wondering if he was going to feel warm ever again. Who knew that one little trip through inter-dimensional space from a bus stop to an airing cupboard in Penylan not two miles away could be like travelling two hundred miles through a snowstorm?
Jack came and flopped on the sofa next to him, dislodging the blanket which Ianto promptly pulled back up, with no intention of sharing it. ‘So, what did you think?’ Jack asked.
‘About?’
‘Jackson Leaves,’ came the reply. The home which Jack had once owned, and which in typical Torchwood fashion, had become a magnet for all things weird.
‘Well, apart from the constantly moving rooms, the evil spirits and the temporal energy trying to rip the place apart, it was quite charming. Just not very… you.’
‘Hey, it was home. And it was 1906. A lot has changed since those times.’
Ianto gave Jack’s choice of dress an up and down look. ‘And some things don’t. Not sure that home ownership and Jack Harkness go together.’
Jack sighed. ‘You’re probably right.’
