Summary: Ianto realises that there's one place he hasn't checked in his desperate search for Jack. A double drabble.
Ianto bolted up awake off the sofa, nearly tumbling to the floor in the process as his conscious brain caught up with his unconscious brain. He put a hand out to stop himself from falling. ‘I didn’t check the storeroom down on 27A!’ he cried out, throwing himself headlong into a run across the hub and into the corridors that led down into the depths of the hub.
The door had always been dicky, and had a habit of swinging shut on you when you least expected it, sealing you inside with a lock that was only able to be opened from the outside. He’d thought about getting it fixed, but then he never went down there much and always made sure to leave a brick in the doorway to stop it from happening.
He ran the entire way, reaching the door and heaving it open. ‘Jack!’ But Jack wasn’t there. It was empty except for neat rows of plastic crates.
He slumped back against the doorframe and sank to the floor. He’d searched this place top to bottom three times and Jack was nowhere to be found. Now he had to face the fact that Jack really had gone.
