drabble_zoneSummary: Cardiff has a problem that can't wait until after dark. A double drabble.
‘It's not going down, Ianto,’ Jack complained, a tetchiness to his voice that Ianto didn't appreciate.
‘What do you want me to do about it? It's not like I can control the sun!’
‘You said sunset was at 5.28pm. I'm still seeing sun, plus a whole lotta zombie aliens that are not dying as a result.’
‘Calculating sunset isn't an exact science,’ he replied as Jack threw him a glare. ‘Okay, so it is, but that doesn't mean my watch is perfectly timed, does it?’
‘Says the man who’s never late to anything!’
‘Exactly. I'm always early so that I don't have to be millisecond perfect! I'll just arrange for the planet to spin a little faster, shall I? That ought to fix it.’
‘Please,’ Jack implored, still with a mocking undertone. ‘It's been done before.’
Ianto rolled his eyes. ‘Of course it has. Oh, and look, whilst we've been arguing about it…’ Ianto pointed and, where moments ago there'd been a horde of the undead converging on their indefensible position, there was now just a pile of crumpled bodies.
‘Oh, thank God,’ Gwen said, puffing out a breath. ‘And I thought alien zombies only came out after dark.’
‘It's not going down, Ianto,’ Jack complained, a tetchiness to his voice that Ianto didn't appreciate.
