torchwood100Summary: Ianto knows Jack doesn't do time off. A double drabble.
When Jack tells the team that he's taking a couple of days off, Ianto is immediately suspicious. Not that the others don't have their reservations about it either, but they all think Jack's taking time off to have one long sex party at Ianto's place, and Ianto knows that definitely isn't the case. As talented a multitasker as he is, even he can't be at the hub or chasing down aliens at the same time as being in bed with Jack.
Ianto can't let it go. There's got to be a reason for it. Jack isn't one to take days off. He barely sleeps. He most certainly isn't lounging in a massage parlour with slices of cucumber over his eyes. He's up to something he doesn't want the rest of them to know about. Ianto worries it might be something to do with his Doctor so he goes digging.
Instead he finds an irregular pattern of Jack's absences over the years along with some troubling newspaper clippings that seem to coincide. There's a street on the Tretarri estate that's hosted Jack's three-day benders for years.
If Jack thinks it's worth checking out, then Ianto thinks it's worth checking out too.
