drabble_zoneSummary: Tosh knows there's nothing to be afraid of now. A triple drabble.
Tosh had long ago accepted the idea that one day her job might kill her. She'd done what anyone would do, and planned for the contingencies of dying unexpectedly, setting up protocols that would release restricted access to things that she'd been working on, ensured that anything she was only half finished could be activated in its current form if need be. She'd also left a video behind, so that even when they finally logged her out of their systems for the very last time, there'd still be one last chance to say everything she felt in her heart in the event she never got the opportunity. She wouldn't leave behind any doubt about what she thought and how proud she was of the work she did.
Today was the day, she realised through a haze of pain. There was no recovering from the gunshot wound or the loss of so much blood. Maybe with a doctor at the time but it was too late for all that now. She'd done what she could to minimise destruction of the city and that was all she could do. But it was okay, because Jack was here, along with Gwen and Ianto. They'd stay with her right to the very end, doing whatever they could to make it less painful and scary for her.
Owen had been here too, albeit it was Tosh who'd stayed connected with him until the end as best she could. Owen hadn't screamed or cried out as he'd died, drowning in radioactive coolant. He'd gone quietly and bravely, just as she knew he would. Now it was her turn to go quietly and bravely into death, sad that in dying she'd been hurting the ones she cared about most, but glad they were here beside her nonetheless.
