Summary: Jack and Owen can't be left alone for five minutes. A double drabble.
Tosh nearly ran into the back of Ianto, who nearly ran into the back of Gwen as she came to a halt at the cogwheel entrance.
‘Oh my god,’ Gwen muttered, hand going to her mouth. Then she caught sight of Jack and Owen, standing up on the first level gantry, looking guilty. Gwen’s expression turned stern. ‘So, when we left, the hub had a pool, but now it looks like we’ve got ourselves a whole beach,’ she said, indicating the dunes of sand covering the floor around the water tower.
Jack raised a pointed finger at the same time as Owen raised his own. “He did it!” they both claimed.
‘Well, that’s mature,’ Ianto said.
‘It was an accident,’ Owen replied.
‘Sort of,’ Jack said, throwing him a dark look,
‘Obviously,’ Owen countered.
Ianto sighed. ‘I’m off to go buy us a second hoover so you can both share in cleaning this up. Ladies? Who’d like to come shopping?’ Gwen and Tosh quickly nodded and scampered after him.
Jack and Owen exchanged glances. ‘Well, that went better than expected,’ Jack said. ‘He didn’t even mention the word coffee.’
Owen sighed. ‘Give it time. We’re not getting off that easy.’
