Summary: A chemical explosion has left the team teary-eyed. A double drabble.
‘How are all our patients doing?’ Jack asked as he came down the steps of the medical bay, watching Owen do his thing whilst Gwen and Tosh perched together on the metal gurney and Ianto stood off to the side.
‘Some minor chemical burns to the hands and face from the gas explosion but otherwise they'll be fine. Mostly it was just what they breathed in, but they've been on straight oxygen for a few hours now and seem to be in good respiratory condition.’
‘Good.’ Jack nodded at three small bottles. ‘What're those?’
‘Eye drops, to flush out any residual chemicals,’ Owen replied. ‘Might sting for a few days but otherwise they can go home.’ Owen began handing them out with a murmured thanks.
Ianto took his bottle and turned to leave, bumping straight into Jack who grabbed him.
‘Might also have a bit of blurred vision,’ Owen added. ‘Trouble seeing things clearly.’
‘I knew he was there,’ Ianto replied.
‘Sure you did.’
Jack kept hold of him. ‘How about I drive you home?’
Ianto blinked and frowned as he tried looking past Jack. ‘How about you tell me where the steps are first. Having some trouble finding them.’
