Summary: Ianto has something he needs to say to clear the air. A double drabble.
Ianto fiddled with his tie in the bathroom mirror, wishing he had a clean shirt and not yesterday’s slightly rumpled one underneath. ‘I suppose it’s time to go back to reality,’ he said, watching the reflection of the other man in the mirror. ‘Or at least as normal as it gets for us.’
‘Timeline should be back in place with only one version of us still scampering around,’ Jack replied.
‘Strange to think there was two of me,’ Ianto \told him as he smoothed down his tie and left the bathroom. ‘Last night while we were…’ he coughed and cleared his throat, ‘then there was other me, from the night before. Weird.’
‘You get used to it,’ Jack told him.
‘Not sure I will,’ he confessed. ‘Um, about last night…’ Ianto paused. ‘When we were tracking down that blowfish and it had that poor girl held hostage…’
Jack smirked. ‘Oh, you mean how I stole your big moment and made it all about me?’
‘That one,’ Ianto confirmed. ‘Only, I… I’m glad you were there.’
Jack rested a hand on his shoulder. ‘Ianto, you would have made the shot. I know you would have. That blowfish didn’t stand a chance.’
