Summary: Now isn't the time for the team to lose their heads. A double drabble.
Ianto slipped away at the first available moment, letting his feet take him down into the depths of the hub where there was nothing but a growing occupation of weevils in cells.
‘Idiot,’ he said, adding a few choice swear words. Now was not the time for the team to be fighting amongst themselves. Time outside was splintering and things were slipping through from everywhere. Not just tangible things like Roman soldiers, but invisible things like deadly diseases. Jack was panicking even if he was trying not to show it. He didn't have a solution for them, and Ianto knew how much Jack hated not being in control of things.
Getting into an argument wasn't the answer though. Ianto was furious with Owen for walking out on them. He was furious with Jack as well for kicking him out, but Owen should have fought back harder. You didn't make stupid, rash decisions like this when things were falling apart. They needed every hand on deck, even if they didn't yet have a plan for what to do. Pushing Owen away was a mistake, and Ianto wished he could drag Owen back in by the ear, to hell with the consequences.
