Summary: Ianto is at his wits end as to how to meet Jack's request. A double drabble.
‘Ridiculous,’ Ianto muttered as his bad mood carried along with him down the street like a dark raincloud. Jack was just ridiculous. It was all well and good to be accommodating towards aliens that fell through the rift, but there was accommodating and then there was being asked to do the seemingly impossible.
Just because it came from a natural habitat of ice and snow didn't mean Ianto could just source something like that at the drop of a hat. You couldn't make a same day delivery order for two metric tonnes of snow. What was he supposed to do? Drive all the way to Snowdonia with a trailer, climb up there and harvest it himself?
‘It would be all melted by that time I got back in any event,’ he muttered to himself. Stupid bloody idea. This just wasn't going to work. He'd have better luck trying to sneak the alien into the penguin enclosure at the zoo than to recreate its natural conditions. Jack couldn't possibly be serious about the request.
So why then was Ianto still getting worked up about it? Because Jack had been serious, though he also seriously overestimated Ianto's ability to do practically anything.
