Summary: Ianto doesn't know how they'll tackle a problem this big. A double drabble.
Ianto was insanely relieved to have the team reunited, with Jack back safe and sound within their midst. It had been a harrowing twenty four hours and whilst the threat of the government having a “blank page” order out for their murders hadn't gone away, he felt somehow safer now that they were all back together.
Of course being on the hitlist wasn't even their biggest problem. There was an alien coming – tomorrow – and no way of stopping it from revealing to that whole world that humans didn't exist alone in the universe.
They didn't have the hub, or the SUV, or any serious equipment they'd become accustomed to having at their fingertips. They didn't even have a roof over their heads unless he counted the clunker of a car he'd borrowed from his sister, praying it would still be in one undamaged piece when he returned it. How did they even begin to tackle a problem of this magnitude, totally without resources?
Jack reached across and put a hand on his knee. He looked ridiculous sitting there naked with only a high-vis jacket draped over his modesty. Jack's touch was reassuring. There wasn't anything that they couldn't tackle together.
