Summary: Ianto is a master of coffee, but tea is a different matter altogether. A double drabble.
‘How's that tea going?’ Jack asked, unable to resist teasing Ianto as he agonised over a teapot and set of matching cups that must have been dredged up from the archives.
‘I hate this,’ Ianto moaned. ‘I don't know whether we're supposed to be drinking earl grey or oolong… whatever that is.’ He pouted and Jack almost felt sorry for him. Almost, because Agnes Havisham was no greater pain in the backside to anyone than she was to Jack. Ianto was getting off lightly by comparison.
‘Your relationship with her has really soured now that's she's gone full “like a boss” on you, hasn't it?’ Jack tried not to sound overly gleeful but failed. It was hard not to remember the way Ianto had squeaked like a terrified kitten at the request for a pot of tea to accompany their boardroom meeting.
‘Just because I thought she was the kind of fastidious, rule follower that I could relate to isn't the same as selling you out. You're still in charge as far as I'm concerned.’
‘Until Agnes commands you to do something…’
Ianto huffed. ‘Do you know anything about brewing tea?’
‘Not a thing. But I'd stick to English Breakfast.’
