Summary: Jack's positive attitude isn't wearing off on the team. A double drabble.
Owen took in the sight of the multitude of warehouses lining what had once been the busiest port in Wales and then groaned. It might not have been used for shipping anymore, but it was still a rabbit warren of buildings. Some were in use and others were left derelict, unable to find a suitable tenant, slowly crumbling under a bombardment of wind and rain and woodrot. ‘We’ll never find it,’ he moaned. Not hidden somewhere in all this without a precise location. A mile wide radius was far too big an area to hope to find anything less than a woolly mammoth.
‘We’ll split up,’ Jack replied. Cover way more ground that way. Jack turned in a circle, surveying their current position. ‘Ianto, you go north, Owen take south, and I’ll take east. I have a really good feeling about east.’ He grinned. ‘We’re going to find it in no time. Trust me. See you soon.’ And with that he rushed off eastwards, disappearing behind a large warehouse.
Owen exchanged a look with Ianto. ‘I hate it when he’s all glass half full.’
Ianto frowned as he gazed northward towards a smelly fish processing plant. ‘Tell me about it.’
