Summary: Takeaway coffee has left everyone unhappy. A double drabble.
‘Fifth coffee run of the day,’ Owen grumbled as he carried the cardboard tray around the hub, offering up paper cups with plastic lids. ‘I'm about ready for us to declare a national crisis.’
Jack plucked his triple shot Americano from the tray and prised off the lid to take a large swallow. ‘It's not that bad.’
‘Says you who hasn't had to be the one to go and fetch them,’ Owen replied. ‘That's been our job, and in case you hadn't noticed, it's been raining sodding cats and dogs out there all day. The only reason they stick lids on them is to prevent them ending up cups of rainwater. And don't tell him I said it, but we all know this isn't a patch on Ianto's coffee.’ There was a round of agreeing nods.
‘I have no doubt that Ianto would much prefer being here than being stuck in bed with the flu,’ Jack said. ‘It'll be fine,’ he assured them, before carrying his coffee back to his office. When no one was watching he dumped it in the bin under his desk. God, it really was awful by comparison. A true crisis if ever there was one.
