Summary: Ianto offers to make Jack's life easier, but it comes at a strange cost. A double drabble.
‘Another new shirt, I see,’ Ianto remarked, pointing out the creases.
‘I got in a scuffle early this morning,’ Jack replied. ‘Didn't have time to go ironing it. It's new and it's clean. What more do you want?’
Ianto frowned. ‘When I was discussing my, uh… employment… we talked about laundry.’
Jack's eyes narrowed. ‘I do laundry, Ianto. I just don't have time for dry-cleaning and pressing shirts straight out of the packet. So sue me if I have a few more important things to do.’
Ianto had the good sense to appear apologetic. ‘I only meant, well… I could do it for you.’
‘My laundry?’
‘If it would make your life easier, yes.’
Jack leaned back in his chair, arms folded.’ Fine. You can start weekly laundry collection today.’ He nodded over at the hatch in the floor. ‘It's down there.’
‘You keep your laundry beneath a hatch in the floor?’
Jack rolled his eyes. ‘It's a bunker. My flat, if you will.’
‘You live down there?’ Ianto could scarcely keep the incredulity from his voice.
‘It's not that bad. Basic. Cosy. I have simple needs.’
‘And you're okay with me going down there?’
‘My dry-cleaning doesn't bite, Ianto.’
