torchwood100Summary: Jack is having trouble coming to terms with some unsettling news. A double drabble.
‘This cannot be happening,’ Jack said, slumped in his chair, head buried in his hands as his elbows leaned heavily on the desk in front of him. He was sucking in long, deep breaths as he tried to remain calm. Apparently the large lump swelling up on the back of his head from fainting and hitting his head on the edge of the medical bay steps had been forgotten. Ianto supposed that in the grand scheme of things, that was fair enough. ‘It's not possible,’ Jack muttered. ‘You can't be pregnant!’
‘Apparently it is, and apparently I am,’ he replied, sitting on the edge of the desk, making sure Jack didn't have another fainting spell at the news. ‘Denying it isn't going to get us anywhere.’
Jack's head flew out of his hands. ‘I'm still processing! Okay?’
‘Because I've had loads more time to get used to this than you have,’ Ianto replied, not letting Jack drag him into his histrionics. Given Jack's long history of adventures and mishaps, Ianto was surprised by Jack's reaction. ‘Why is it that when Gwen discovered she was pregnant you were all smiles and jokes but when it's me…’
‘Just give me a minute!’
