Summary: Owen is learning about consequences the hard way. A double drabble.
‘One cappuccino with chocolate sprinkles,’ Ianto announced, setting a mug in front of Tosh, ‘one flat white with one for Gwen, one special blend for the Captain,’ he added with a smile, ‘and one decaf for Owen.’
Owen looked down at his mug in disgust. ‘Decaf? What for?’
‘Punishment,’ Ianto replied. ‘For gunking up the boot of the SUV with your latest corpse. It took forever to get the smell out of the upholstery. I think a week without coffee is a fair sentence.’
‘But Jack leaves alien crap in the car all the time!’
Jack smirked as he clasped his mug to his nose, breathing in the rich aroma. ‘And I tell Ianto when I have, and ask nicely if he wouldn't mind cleaning it up.’
Owen snorted. ‘Trust me when I say he minds.’
‘It's the thought that counts,’ Ianto replied. ‘Plus, he's the boss.’
‘And then some,’ Jack added, earning a smile in return.
‘This is bollocks!’ Owen cried, shoving the offensive mug away. ‘I can't believe I'm getting denied basic amenities just for doing my job.’
Jack shrugged as Owen looked beseechingly at him to intervene. ‘Ianto made you a coffee. What more do you want?’
