torchwood100Summary: Ianto is less than pleased by Jack's impetuous behaviour. A double drabble.
‘Why can’t you just be happy!’ Jack yelled, feeling a rush of hormones hit him as his anger began to boil at Ianto’s reaction to the news.
‘Happy! Happy?’ Ianto’s voice rose with each repetition of the word. ‘You’re… you’re…’
‘Pregnant?’ Jack said, offering up the word Ianto refused to say aloud.
‘That!’
Jack felt betrayed. If anyone was going to be loving and supportive, he expected it to be Ianto. Also, because he was currently the only other one here right now. Gwen was still off, wherever she was, dealing with their recent losses. Someone had to keep working, and if working meant taking on the egg sac of the only spawn of the Empress in order to save her whole fragile alliance of planets, then that was what Jack was going to do.
‘I can’t believe you!’ Ianto huffed. ‘No, I take that back. Actually, I can believe you. Only you would do something so stupid, so reckless, so…’
‘Self-sacrificing?’ Jack suggested.
Ianto’s expression softened as he saw Jack clutch his stomach protectively. Ianto heaved a sigh. ‘What am I supposed to do with you, Jack?’
‘Be happy for me? We’re gonna have a baby!’
‘Don’t,’ Ianto warned.
‘Why can’t you just be happy!’ Jack yelled, feeling a rush of hormones hit him as his anger began to boil at Ianto’s reaction to the news.
‘Happy! Happy?’ Ianto’s voice rose with each repetition of the word. ‘You’re… you’re…’
