torchwood100Summary: Owen is convinced nothing could be worse. A double drabble.
‘It's raining and I’m wet,’ Owen complained. ‘There’s nothing worse than being wet.’
‘Well, there’s being shot,’ Jack offered. ‘That’s worse. Especially if you’re hit in the torso and you’ve damaged internal organs.’
‘Fine. Getting shot is worse than being wet.’
‘I imagine suffocating would be worse than being wet,’ Gwen offered. ‘Or choking, which I suppose is like suffocating.’
‘And drowning,’ Ianto added. ‘Which is also like suffocating, except that you’re underwater when it’s happening. That would be worse.’
‘Being crushed by something heavy,’ Tosh said, ‘like under a truck or a fallen building. That would be awful.’
‘It is,’ Jack agreed. ‘And if you’re really unlucky, your upper body is getting crushed, which makes it impossible to breathe, which means you're being crushed and suffocating at the same time.’
‘An explosion.’ Ianto nodded at his own thoughts. ‘Being in an explosion would be worse. Or being burned to death by the flames afterwards.’
‘Or exposed to nuclear fallout,’ Tosh agreed. ‘You’d be okay at first, but then your whole body would literally disintegrate.’
‘Okay, okay!’ Owen yelled over the top of them. ‘I get it. There’s a ton of stuff way worse than being wet. Geez! Lighten up!’
