He was glad she was helping him out, even if he couldn't figure out why such a sweet young thing would spend her weekend spring cleaning for an old man. His hands just weren't what they used to be.

'Okay Mr Jones, that's the books sorted now what about the wardrobe?'

As she began pulling out old clothes, he spied the shirt in her hand.

'Lovely colour. Bet you looked dashing in that one back in your hey day.'

The voice had faded, but the memory of the blue eyes that watched him in that shirt were vivid as ever.

This was really sad - until it hit me - Ianto Jones had survived to reach old age!

Yeah, I like to think there are versions where they made it out of Torchwood, but eventually parted ways. In my mind, neither of them wanted to see Ianto get old and die so they made the decision to part before it came to that. Still, the memories will take much longer to fade.

*sniffle* It doesn't seen fair that Ianto had to grow old alone.

I'm just going to keep making him immortal so he can stay with Jack. Or make Jack mortal so tey can have a normal life!

Very bitter sweet.
At least Ianto survived, but alone without Jack. And without anyone else either because he never stopped loving Jack. *sniffle*
