Notes: A double drabble in which someone is having difficulty finding things

'Jack, have you seen my glasses?'

'Glasses? Since when do you wear glasses?'

'I might be immortal but not impossible. They help reduce headaches when I have to read for hours on end, which when you're cruising through deep space, is often.'

'Well I haven't seen them. Computer?'

'Yes, Captain?'

'Run a search for Ianto's glasses. He's getting forgetful in his old age.'

'Initiating search. Please wait...'

'That's a bit ambitious don't you think? How is the computer going to know if they're wedged down the side of the sofa?'

'Search parameter not found.'

'Really?'

'So much for that idea.'

 

Jack looked perplexed. 'That should have worked.'

'I think you give the computer too much credit. I'm sure they'll turn up.'

Not to be discouraged, Jack stared down at the coffee mug, sitting next to him on the bridge's console.

'Computer. Search for my coffee.'

'Initiating... Search parameter not found.'

Ianto wanted to laugh.

'Computer, search for Ianto Jones.'

'Searching... Parameter not found.'

'Okay, now I'm starting to worry,' Ianto confessed.

'Computer, what's our current location?'

'Searching vector database... Location not found.'

'Forget about my glasses, location not found translates to "we're lost".'

I think they need to get the ship's computer overhauled! Well,once they figure out where they are, lol!

That's an awful lot of deep dark Space to be lost in.
