Jack lay there, trying to hide the grin on his face. Ianto probably couldn't have seen it in the dark anyway, but it didn't hurt to play it safe.

He hadn't expected it, lying there, listening to their gentle breathing. Ianto snuggled tighter, breath ghosting Jack's ear as he heard the words "I love you". It was barely even a whisper, but he was  so close there was no mistaking it.

He wanted to whisper them back, but knew that Ianto had thought him asleep. He didn't want to ruin that perfect little moment.

I love you, too, he thought.
